Brief summary of duties

Multi-drop driver, able to work alone and meet a demanding delivery target whilst acting as Company ambassador consistently providing high levels of customer service.

Responsibility for efficient transportation and delivery of products to customers using a commercial motor vehicle meeting company, customer and legislative requirements.

Key areas of responsibility

  • The safe, effective, customer and business focused delivery of a range of Crosswater, Bauhaus and Simpsons stock to business user’s and end user’s across the UK
  • Maintain own and others awareness of key Health and Safety practices (including manual handling)
  • Ensure vehicle is driven in a safe and fuel efficient manner

Key skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience of multi-drop deliveries across the UK
  • Customer focused and well presented
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points
  • Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles                                                                                     
  • Knowledge of geographical area                                                                           
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules                                                                                        
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions                                                                                   
  • Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations                                                                      
  • Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment        
  • Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations                                                                                
  • Knowledge of transport regulations
