Driver’s Mate
Brief summary of duties
To work alongside a multi-drop driver to meet a demanding delivery target whilst acting as Company ambassador consistently providing high levels of customer service.
When required to drive, be responsible for the efficient transportation and delivery of products to customers using a commercial motor vehicle meeting company, customer and legislative requirements.

Key skills and qualifications
Essential
- Customer focused and well presented
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
- Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
- Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
- Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of transport regulations
- Customer Service
- Ability to work in a changing environment
- Communication - both written and verbal
- Ability and Flexibility to work shifts
Desirable
- Appropriate driving licence -Maximum of 6 penalty points
- Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of geographical area
