Internal Account Manager

 

Brief summary of duties

Internal Account Managers are primarily responsible for tracking live quotes and opportunities and support the external specifications team. The role entails project managing all projects which fall within a set area to the highest possible standard to ensure that we have the best possible chance of that project becoming an order. 
Projects begin life an initial enquiry from a customer which is quoted by our Estimating team. Once quoted, our Project Co-ordinators call and speak with the project-specific key contacts with the aim of identifying the key information we need to know to ensure effective project management. This includes who the decision makers are, timescales and what support we need to offer our customer. After every call, a future call is diarised and this process continues right through to order stage. 
Repeat business is very important. Our Project Co-ordinators will build excellent relationships with customers and deliver outstanding customer service at every opportunity. 
In addition to this, you will proactively generate new business opportunities. New business generation is the key to our future success.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Working as part of an internal team 
  • Working together with the External Specification team to support sales and development plans.
  • Delivering outstanding service to all customers 
  • Demand creation and proactive NBD
  • Lead creation and qualification
  • Pipelining and project support achieved through day to day project management of approximately 400+ projects. Managing a diary of outgoing project calls, plus incoming calls and emails from customers 
  • Building and maintaining accurate list of anticipated future orders
  • Conversion of quote to order supporting external sales buddy by building excellent relationships with all projects partners and effectively tracking and challenging at all stages of the specification wheel
  • Making and maintaining accurate project notes & information on CRM
  • Achieving team KPI targets
  • Making quality appointments for the Key Account Managers to attend 
  • Forecasting and lead time management. Obtaining building schedules, demand planning
  • Obtaining POs and liaising extensively with Group Customer Service Coordinator to ensure SLAs are met.
