Regional Sales Manager


Brief summary of duties

The National Account and Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Regional Sales Managers in order to build and maintain a high-performance sales organization, to effectively achieve business objectives.  They are accountable for the performance of the distribution partner and their performance is measured against the company’s targets and goals and reviewed on a periodic basis.  

Key areas of responsibility

  • Define and drive a joint strategic agenda for growth, and execute against specific and measurable Initiatives 
  • Collaborate closely with Key Stakeholders across the business
  • Collaborate across all levels of the Distributors’ business – Including Senior Leadership team and Sales personnel
  • Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Must be able to up-sell and cross-sell across the top seller products, options and services
  • Proactively identify changes in sales trends, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
  • Drive strong and regular Marketing Campaigns with measurable outcomes 
  • Provide sales management, budget control, incentive planning and sales forecasting
  • Ensure that relevant and accurate reporting information is delivered to the necessary Heads of Departments and or Directors
  • Proven ability to build relationships & negotiate on purchase agreements
  • To attend and/or lead regular meetings and conference calls with clients and senior management as appropriate
  • Create and maintain key internal relationships with the Purchasing and Marketing Department to ensure timely and effective marketing of new and upgraded products and to address key business issues and opportunities.
  • Create and maintain excellent and effective communication with Brand Managers to ensure upgraded product integration is introduced and managed in line with business objectives and priorities
  • Liaise with Senior Sales Management to ensure new and upgraded material is produced and available in line with Sales plans and priorities
  • Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies
  • Maintain and build upon key third party service provider relationships to ensure that all services are delivered on time and within budget

  • Proven record of meeting and achieving targets and deadlines

  • Sales driven stretch mindset and a “must win” attitude
  • Proven face to face sales track record
  • Previous project management/budgeting experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of standard CRM and office application usage
