The recent refurbishment of Crafted at Powdermills has transformed this historical listed building into a refreshing space where vintage British heritage meets modern hospitality.
To achieve this blend of aesthetics, the interior designer, House of Dré, drew inspiration from modern-day reinterpretations of English eccentricism. Each of the rooms within this hotel features its own style and defining features, such as the terracotta bathroom with natural materials, soft colour palettes and considered details, or the green bathroom which reflects the eccentric Victorian tradition of a minimalist powder room.

When working with this design style for the bathrooms, they were looking for high quality bathroom products that would suit the character of the building while still providing a contemporary feel that guests are looking for in a modern hotel. Having used Bathroom Brands products in previous hospitality projects, House of Dré were familiar with the quality of products available and looked to us again due to the balance between heritage design and modern functionality that our traditional ranges offer.
For this project, they were drawn to the classic brassware and ceramics that can be found across our Crosswater and Burlington brands. They chose to specify accessories, sanitaryware, washstands and radiators from our traditionally-inspired Burlington brand, combined with the contemporary appeal of our Asura 8 showering from Crosswater and the transitional design of Belgravia brassware. This assortment suited the period detailing of the building while still providing a fresh and elegant atmosphere.
Our team assisted in refining the specification, ensuring that finishes and product combinations worked both technically and aesthetically to fit with the design brief as well as provide an excellent experience for guests.
