The Resident Edinburgh sees a complete modern refurbishment of a 1960s office building which stood for generations as a blemish in Edinburgh’s iconic Garden Squares. Shortlisted for an AHEAD Europe 2025 award, a leading global awards program for hospitality and design, for sustainable considerations in building and design, The Resident Edinburgh is a welcome improvement to the local area.
The redesign of this 164-room hotel took an elegant and measured approach. With each room designed to feel like a home away from home, the interior of this building has been carefully considered with the guests in mind. The interior of the rooms features a welcoming and stylish design focused on comfort. With a long-standing relationship already established with the CEO of Resident Hotels, our specification team were thought of when beginning to design the interior of this location. In collaboration with the hotel group’s interior design team, we were able to build a specification for The Resident that fit the theme of the space while offering the best solution for their guests’ needs and the project’s schedule.
The result of this close relationship saw the bathrooms of all 164 rooms completed with a modern touch and guest-focused comfort throughout, from MPRO brassware and accessories in Stainless Steel to contemporary ceramics and our Gallery walk-in shower range. Working closely with their design team from the start allowed us to continue this collaborative approach through all levels of the specification and installation, making our team available to help at all stages and keep the bathroom in line with their design processes.
