Hidden away on the platform of Henley-in-Arden train station sits The Station Bar and Lounge, a bar and taproom where history meets contemporary design. Friends of Henley Railway Station, a local community charity, along with the support of National Rail, West Midlands Railway, Henley-in-Arden Parish Council and the Railway Heritage Trust, have transformed this historical location from a derelict building into a fantastic bar with a nod to the building’s heritage.
Wanting traditional bathroom designs to remain in keeping with the history of the building, the team got in contact with building merchant EH Smith to see what we could do for them. Having a good working relationship with EH Smith, they got us personally involved in the project from the early stages.
Assisting with the design of their female, male and disabled toilets, our team were able to create a primarily traditional design with modern touches using a combination of products from our Burlington, Crosswater and Britton brands. Keen to help the charitable approach of this project, we were able to provide the products for the female bathroom completely free of charge, helping to bring their vision to life while alleviating the financial load.
