Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, one of London’s most iconic and exclusive neighbourhoods, Zedwell Knightsbridge offers a tranquil escape. The building, once home to the legendary Scotch House and later Burberry’s flagship store, carries a rich fashion heritage that adds depth to its contemporary transformation. Today, the historic façade conceals a thoughtfully designed interior where relaxation, peace, and quiet are central to the guest experience. With a sleek, modern aesthetic and calming, cocoon-like rooms, the hotel reimagines lifestyle hospitality.
With this design style in mind, developer Criterion Capital approached our team with a specification in mind. We were then able to help them adapt and tailor this specification with the most suitable products from our catalogue. Originally seeking a Stainless Steel finish, the design team at Criterion Capital instead opted for our Slate finish after coming across a sample and preferring the look. This Slate finish was used on our MPRO showering, brassware and flush plate for a seamless coordination across the bathroom design.
When creating a specification for this project, it was essential that our products were able to adapt and fit the needs of the space. Therefore, a close collaboration between our design team and Criterion Capital’s team was formed to create a fully bespoke shower enclosure to fit the layout of the bathrooms. The result was a door that slid behind the wall to make the door opening width as deep as possible. Our flush plates and shower valves were customised in production, adding the Zedwell logo to make them personal to this project as well as creating the Zedwell feel within the bathrooms.
