Showerwall Area Sales Manager - North West

Summary of duties

Responsible for the continued success and development of sales strategies within the assigned geographical area, as well as awareness and feedback on competitor activity.  Extensive analysis and review of sales strengths and weaknesses per customer, brand, etc., the continued development and management of our showroom partners with the promotion of Showerwall and gaining/retaining displays. Work in close partnership with the Credit Control manager to ensure that all accounts are paid in accordance with payment terms.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Create and manage a regular call cycle for Showerwall customers as agreed with your line manager.
  • Ensuring every face-to-face visit has a purpose and objective.
  • Build strong customer relationships with Showerwall customers – be the main point of contact for key customers in your area.
  • Develop sales of Showerwall products with existing customers.
  • Maintain Showerwall display stands and increase display presence with both existing and new customers.  Includes placing display orders with the business.
  • Identify geographical gaps in showroom coverage of Showerwall products and target the best new showrooms to fill those gaps.
  • Support the Head of Contract Sales with visits to contract merchants as required.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activity in the market to the business and new product ideas from customer conversations.
  • Keeping customers up to date with company communications on new products/promotions and discontinuations as required.
  • Provide high levels of customer service, responding effectively and timely to both internal and external enquiries in line with the high service standards expected of Bathroom Brands.
  • Identify contract volume and/or stocking opportunities within the merchant customer base.
  • Keep Salesforce CRM system up to date with customer information and clear call reports.
  • Provide knowledge/support and training on Showerwall products to customers.
  • Responsible for hitting and exceeding agreed sales and margin targets for the defined geographical area (including sales of new products).
  • Attendance at customer events/exhibitions (some may be outside of working hours) as requested.
  • Attendance at sales/team meetings as required.
  • Completion and execution of account plans for larger / key customers in the area as agreed with your line manager.

  • Sales Performance to Budget – by Area, by product group, by customer
  • Creating & achieving strategic objectives aligned to Budget drivers
  • Creating and maintaining account plans for Showroom and Trade sales development
  • Display management to budget and NPI execution to achieve ROI
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company expectations
  • Commitment to the Training programme and visible signs of learning and improvement
  • Delivery of Customer Training Programme

 

Key skills and qualifications 

  • Education & Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve & exceed sales plans
  • Strategy development, project management and problem solving
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and objection handling
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of management
  • Time management and planning 
  • Professionalism 
  • Basic working knowledge of Excel / Word / Powerpoint
